DOMINIC BESNER

Montreal painter Dominic Besner is best known for his ornately tragic, masked figures in the Canadian pavilion of Expo 2010 in Shanghai. In similar spirit, a bull with a gigantic nose ring charges forward on the hood of his Art Car. A rich oil pallet is scraped onto the Porsche 911, exposing layers underneath to recall the vehicle’s complexity.
